Adult Support (Ages 18–59) — The Off-Reserve Support Program

Housing $1,000per member / year

Financial assistance for rent, lease agreements, mortgage payments, or damage deposits — a one-time payment per year.

If your monthly cost is under $1,000, the unused portion is applied to the following month(s)
Payment goes directly to your landlord, property manager, or mortgage holder
Submit your current rental/lease agreement or mortgage document, plus the payee’s direct deposit form or void cheque
If you pre-paid, provide last month’s bank statement to verify the payment before reimbursement
Housing applications are due by the 10th of each month and require Off-Reserve Committee approval

Essential resources $300per member / year

One-time assistance for basic living needs — food, clothing, utilities, or transportation.

Adult work wear $250per member / year

One-time assistance for purchasing work-related attire for any industry.

Provide an employment letter on company letterhead — or proof of active business registration if self-employed
Direct deposit form or void cheque for the applicant

Dental / Vision / Medical $200per member / year

Help with health costs not covered by other plans — prescriptions, dental or vision care, and medical equipment.

May be used multiple times up to the $200 annual maximum (e.g., $100 dental + $100 vision)
Provide medical documentation and invoices/receipts for the expenses

Eligibility: registered WFLFN #459 off-reserve band member aged 18–59, meeting the general eligibility requirements, with a fully completed and signed application. You must have a bank account in your name. The Off-Reserve Liaison can assist.
