Governance

How the Association is governed

7-member volunteer board

Five independent off-reserve community members hold the officer roles — President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and a designated Elder seat. Directors are unpaid volunteers.

Connected to the Nation

Two directors are appointed by WFLFN #459 Chief & Council. They keep the Nation informed and open doors — while the Association stays independently governed.

Accountable by design

Written policy, monthly committee reviews, annual policy renewal, financial tracking and year-end reporting — with applicant information protected under Alberta FOIP.
