The Off-Reserve Support Association delivers real financial support to registered Whitefish Lake First Nation #459 members living off-reserve — help with housing, essential resources, health costs, work wear, and emergencies.

Every registered off-reserve member has a support category based on their age — plus Emergency Funds that are always there when life takes a hard turn.

Getting started is simple

Three steps to your support

Register as a member

Fill out the registration with your treaty/status number, proof of off-reserve address, and email. The Off-Reserve Liaison confirms your eligibility against the membership list.

Choose your supports

Once approved, browse the supports for your age category, gather the documents on the checklist, and submit your application — the Liaison can help you complete it.

Receive your funding

Approved applications are processed within 1–7 business days. Payments go directly to landlords and providers, or to your account for reimbursements with receipts.

The program is governed by written policy, reviewed every year, and administered under the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP). Every dollar is tracked and reported.
