General eligibility requirements

These are the requirements every applicant must meet before registering for the Off-Reserve Support Program. Once you’re registered and signed in, the member portal shows the exact document checklist for your age category.

The requirements

Every applicant must…

  • Be a registered band member of WFLFN #459 (the membership list confirms eligibility)
  • Be 18 years or older — or a minor member whose legal parent/guardian registers and applies on their behalf
  • Have proof of a legal off-reserve address
  • Have lived off-reserve for at least six months before applying (waived if you relocated for school, work, or medical reasons — and for the Housing category)
  • Have a government card (status card / government-issued ID)
  • Have Band Administration membership authorization
  • Have a bank account in their own name

Your full document checklist lives in the member portal. After your registration is approved, sign in — the portal shows exactly which documents each support in your age category needs, and you upload them right there when you apply. Remember: banking info and proof of residency must be updated every program year, even if nothing changed.
